“I no longer wear pads and I am confident without them!”
Meet Carrie
I first noticed that I had issues with bladder control in 2011 after a partial hysterectomy. I refused the bladder lift at the time because I wasn’t leaking. Well, soon after surgery, I went to an indoor trampoline park for my son’s birthday and quickly realized that I had wet myself while jumping. I was in my late 30s and just chalked it up to having kids and getting older.
However, just a few months later when I hit 40, I started to leak with coughing, laughing, and sneezing. Fast forward to my mid 40s and the urgency started to set in. By the time I was in my late 40s, I was wearing a pad at all times and grew to accept pads for several years as part of my day.
In 2020 I had to have another surgery that threw me into menopause and made my bladder symptoms much worse. I wanted to start dating but thought “how embarrassing to go on a date with a pad!” I knew I needed to get some help.
That’s when I found Flyte. It just made sense to me – my mom was in the medical field, so I appreciated the research. I used Flyte for the full 6 weeks and then one day, I went to work and realized I forgot to put a pad on. I’m a teacher and at recess I started laughing and thought, “Oh my gosh! I’m going to wet myself” but I didn’t – it was amazing! I have finally been able to return to working out without the fear of peeing my pants. I no longer wear pads and I am confident without them! I am so excited to be free from constantly paying for and wearing pads - but even more excited to be dating again! Totally worth it.
