I Can't Say Enough Good Things!

I've been using the Flyte system for more than three years now. It's been incredibly effective and has become an integral part of my overall healthcare regimen. I can't say enough good things about the system itself, as well as the customer service. I recommend Flyte to anyone who shares with me that their bladder integrity is an issue, something that I find is becoming more frequent with age...and certainly among my friends who have had children. Try Flyte...it's worth it!

So far, so good.

I have only have leakage about 2 or 3 times a year but when it happens it's frustrating enough that I decided to deal with it. I have only been using Flute for a week now but it seems to be an intelligent product to use because the bio-feedback is very helpful for me to understand which muscles are actually effective to stem the leakage. In the past, my efforts at using Kegel exercise has left me wondering if I am doing it correctly. Flyte provides this information. It's too soon to know if it will actually solve the problem but I live in hope!

It's happening!!

I'm at 6 weeks and 1 day of using Flyte daily. I've kept a log of symptoms and learning notes with the exercises, because I was so desperate for improvement and wanted to be objective. At 66, I've been dealing with sneeze-and-pee since my 40s, but in the last 2 years the situation has become awful. Planning shopping outings around bathrooms, holding back water, becoming the 'guerilla pee-er' on the hiking trails (every bush, every ditch, every tree!), wearing pads to go on walks, especially in winter, not making it to the toilet, carrying extra clothes, dribbling so often, and not making it through dance class, not running or jumping. frequent 'accidents'. With the cold weather coming this fall, I couldn't make it down my street without dribbling. So as you can imagine, I have really worked at Flyte. It has taken time.

I got the technique pretty quickly, really learning that coordinating that belly breath and then the contraction was key. I got a cold during the second week, and we all know the combination of weak muscles and hydration efforts, plus lots of sneezing adds up to terrible pee accidents. So I had to tell myself to ignore this week's data, so early in the treatment. Near the 3rd week I noticed that I did a little better making it to the toilet instead of 'losing it' in the bathroom doorway or fumbling with clothes. Still, at this stage I was wearing pads during travel and for walks in cold weather.

By completion of week 4, I noticed at dance class (active funk fusion, some hops and jumps) I felt a little less urge to pee. Until now every jump I could feel that little dribble starting, and sometimes had to leave mid class to hit the bathroom.

Between weeks 4 and 5, i had some milestones. On a walk, I had no dribble the first 30 minutes, with fast walking. Later, I sneezed in the car, and lo, I didn't squirt. I could feel a 'thickness' in the pelvic floor that stopped the pee! Later that week there were two more sneezes at different times with no squirt. Another day I jogged from the horse corral to my car, and didn't dribble. At other times there was still dribble during a jog or walk, but less volume. Each few days the changes are subtle, but happening. I still had moments of leakage after drinking a bunch of water and getting active, but the leakage was smaller. We had some very cold days, and then the dribble was worse - cold weather stimulates urine production and I am out no matter the temp for daily walks. Feeling a little worried that I might not improve, I got on the Flyte site and re-read all the testimonials for a big pep talk! I do recall that I didn't use a pad on those walks though, and the leak was less than it would have been before Flyte.

Between weeks 5 and 6. I could tell the exercise was building on stronger muscles at this stage. I started doing double sets every morning because I was feeling hopeful! I have also added in straightening out my legs, and started building the ability to contract in that position. That week I did better in dance class, with less urge, no significant dribble. I sneezed in class and didn't squirt! More fun in class, better moves! Making it to the toilet regularly at this point. Also, while doing errands around town, have been going much longer without needing the bathroom! Most log entries that week mention going a lot longer -- between 1 and 2 hours. Sneezed in car after several errands and didn't pee. I notice that a cough from water down the wrong pipe caused a squirt, but am confident that this will improve.

Ok, now at 6 weeks, I sneezed at the end of an hour of dance and was dry. I did two 1 hour walks and did not have to stop to pee, and had no dribble. I'm making it
to the toilet easily, unless I really push it. My bladder is holding more liquid, so that when I pee it's not just the pathetic squirt that used to feel like a whole bladder-full. It really is a decent amount! My confidence is growing. I am hitting most of the blue lights with the straight leg position now, and will continue, perhaps try standing.

This week is warm weather, so my walks will not be too challenging as I keep improving. The next goals will be to be dryer when walking in sub-freezing weather, to be able to jog more without dribble, and to cough and stay dry. In dry Colorado, I drink a fair amount of water to stay hydrated, so am watching to see if I'm keeping up with that and not skimping as I had been to avoid the pee problem. Ultimately I want to be able to jog, dance, and jump rope without leakage. Given the steady improvement I'm experiencing, I really do dare to believe I'll get there.

Already, I can say that this device is worth the money. I'd have spent this on PT over the months with slower results, more time commitment, and less hope. I believe in this device. It's working. I'm keeping at it. Getting my life and exercise back!! No more will family and friends have to hear "Atchoo! Oh darn!" and my hurried steps to ...

my friends believed it was a joke.

when you're in a group of girls everything is a joke, until they started listening to my progress. And I didn't even know I had a floor! Yes, it is funny, one girl asked "do you come?" (NO) I really find it so easy to use, 5 min passes so quickly after watching all the blue lights flash all the way across. Then it shuts off, I lay there alittle of out breath, I'll never get my breathing right. Results are better some days, I know in the future of daily use this will be a success. thank you!

Definitely worth it!

More affordable and convenient than traditional pelvic floor PT. Easy to use and great customer support (definitely take advantage of the free phone session for pointers). I had good results. Not 5 stars because even though I had great results after 6 weeks of daily use, 4 weeks later leakage returned. I am going to resume and see if 2 to 3 times a week will suffice to maintain.
